Volunteering For Animal Charities In Bradford
Volunteering for animal charities is one of the most popular forms of volunteering in Britain. It's little wonder, as with over 50 million pets across the UK, we're clearly a nation of animal lovers.
There are plenty of Bradford charities dedicated to helping animals, whether it's from abuse and neglect or the threat to their environment. Volunteering is an incredibly enriching thing to do, and could help you on your way to a productive career in the charity sector. You may even find yourself making lots of new friends along the way.

Cats Protection
With around 250 volunteer-led branches and 40 centres across Britain, Cats Protection is the UK's largest feline charity.
The charity campaigns for feline rights, in addition to helping approximately 200,000 cats each year through essential services like rehoming and neutering. The nearest branch to Bradford can be found in neighbouring Morley, and there's a charity shop in Shipley just a few miles north of Bradford city centre. Cats Protection is always looking for volunteers to help out.
RSPCA
Established in 1924, the RSPCA is Britain's biggest and most well-known animal welfare charity. It investigates over 130,000 complaints of animal cruelty and neglect every year, and campaigns for changes in the law that improve the rights and welfare of animals around the country.
With over 160 branches across England and Wales, the RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield Bradford & District Branch is based on Wade Street in Halifax - around seven miles from Bradford. The charity also has a shop in the city centre on James Street, giving you another option if you'd like to volunteer with the RSPCA.

The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is based in York, but has a range of regional offices closer to Bradford where you could get involved - as well as an array of projects across the county. PDSA
One of the most valuable charitable services in the UK, PDSA provides over 2.5 million treatments every year to animals whose owners can't afford the veterinary care their pets need.
