Street Prize
Winter Bonanza In West Bromwich
One lucky lady from West Bromwich is whooping with delight after winning £25,000 with her postcode.
Kam Bee scooped the cash prize after B70 6HD was drawn as a winner of one of two Saturday Street Prizes today.
The mum-of-two, who works in the construction industry, said, "This couldn't have come at a better time. I was really shocked when I realised how much I'd won. I'll be able to buy a new car and treat myself to a spa weekend. After that I'll pay off my credit card."
On the same day as Kam received her cash prize, other players in West Bromwich are celebrating after winning a share of a £3 Million prize pot in the Postcode Millions draw.
Street Prize Presenter Matt Johnson said, "Wow, what a lucky place West Bromwich turned out to be this weekend! Well done to all our winners and we really can't thank you enough for playing People's Postcode Lottery and helping to raise millions of pounds for lots of great charities."
Players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £154 Million to date for over 2,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.
A project near West Bromwich that has received support from players is Birmingham St Mary's Hospice, which was awarded £19,986 this year to provide home support to its service users.
It was a fun-filled weekend for so many players, as a Street Prize landed in Newton Aycliffe, £5,000 and a BMW were won in Datchet, the Dream Holidays prize landed in Denholm, and West Bromwich struck it lucky a second time by scooping the fabulous Postcode Millions!
