Home Run For Stoke Newington
Champagne corks are popping in Stoke Newington as six neighbours celebrate their postcode, N16 6BH, winning Saturday's Street Prize.
Five of the Cazenove Road winners scooped £30,000 each while the sixth doubled their prize to a whopping £60,000 thanks to playing with two tickets.
Mother of four Tina was overcome with emotion when she pulled her cheque out of the golden envelope. Tina said, "Oh my god – this is brilliant! I'm going to spoil my kids rotten and I'll treat my sister and my brother and their kids too. I might even get myself a new car!
"It's great to know I've supported so many good causes by playing - getting this prize is just an added bonus!"
Street Prize Presenter Matt Johnson congratulated our winners. Matt said, "You never know whose door I could be knocking on next, so make sure you're signed up to play!"
With 32% of the ticket price going to charity, players have now raised more than £301 Million for over 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally. Today's £30,000 Street Prize was part of a draw promoted by The Wildlife Trusts.
One nearby charity that players have helped to support is Room to Heal. The group was awarded £15,218 last year to bring residents together by running garden workshops to revitalise green space at Mildmay Community Centre and Culpeper Community Garden.
Do you have your ticket for People's Postcode Lottery? If not, why not sign up or find out How It Works? Like our Stoke Newington players, you too could be celebrating an amazing win! With Prizes every single day, you just never know when your postcode might get lucky!
There were also lucky winners elsewhere, as two neighbours scooped Sunday's Street Prize.
