Street Prize
Kidderminster Cashes In
Four Kidderminster neighbours celebrated netting £30,000 each after their postcode, DY10 3DY, was the winner of Saturday's Street Prize.
This isn't the first time Kidderminster has gotten lucky this year. Postcode sector DY10 1 was the winner of September's Postcode Millions and saw 419 people share a £3 Million prize.
Street Prize winner Rebecca was in a state of shock when she pulled her cheque out of the golden envelope. She said, "One of my best friends won in last month's Postcode Millions so I didn't think you would be back to Kidderminster any time soon. Things like this just don't happen to people like me – it's totally surreal! My eldest son has additional support needs and I've been a stay-at-home mum for the last few years to make sure I'm there for him, so this win will make a massive difference to us as a family."
Thinking about how she'll spend the cash, Rebecca added, "My husband David and I have always dreamt of taking the kids to Disneyland in Florida but we never thought it would be possible. Now we'll be able to go and make memories to last us a lifetime!"
Local factory worker Anthony was with his wife Susan when the People's Postcode Lottery team knocked on his door. He said, "This will make a massive difference to myself and Susan as well as our two daughters and two grandchildren. I've lots of ideas on how to spend it and think a new car is at the top of that list. I think it's going to take quite some time for what's happened to actually sink in – it's really quite magical."
People's Postcode Lottery Presenter Danyl Johnson handed over the prizes. He said, "Two big wins in as many weeks for Kidderminster is just fantastic! I couldn't be more thrilled for Rebecca, Anthony and our other players – I'm sure they'll enjoy treating themselves with the windfall."
With 32% of the ticket price going to charity, players of People's Postcode Lottery have now raised £350 Million for good causes across Great Britain and internationally. This prize was part of a draw promoted by Postcode Support Trust.
Open Trail is one of many charities close to the winners that players have helped to support. In 2017, the organisation was awarded £1,000 to supply cycling coaches and bikes to schools, encouraging fitness and time outdoors.

There were celebrations in another lucky postcode this weekend. Three neighbours collected an amazing £30,000 each in Sunday's Street Prize.
