Street Prize
Payday In Dalgety Bay
A player from Dalgety Bay was shocked today to discover he had won £25,000, when his postcode, KY11 9YL, was drawn as a Saturday Street Prize winner.
Norman Milne, 61, was shocked when People's Postcode Lottery presenter Judie McCourt turned up to present him with his cheque.
Norman has been playing People's Postcode Lottery for four years, but a change of address brought him a change of fortune. "I was playing with my old postcode in Glasgow for years but had to move back to Dalgety Bay," he said. "Luckily, I remembered to change the postcode I played with. I can't believe I've won £25,000."
Norman decided to sign up to play People's Postcode Lottery to support good causes. Players have raised over £79.2 Million for charities across Great Britain and internationally. One local project supported by players is Abbeyview Kids Club, which aims to offer play opportunities that are fun and encourage exploration. They offer these activities to local children between the ages of five and 15, regardless of child's family circumstances.
The club was awarded £1,170 to provide local trips to community parks for the children within the summer holidays, allowing them to access areas of the Fife community that they would normally not have the opportunity to visit.
