Putting the Win In Windsor

Four neighbours in Windsor have scooped £25,000 each in the second Saturday Street Prize this weekend.

Michelle Howse, a nanny from Victor Road, shares her postcode, SL4 3JS, with three fellow lottery winners.

The lucky mother of three is planning to splash out on a new rowing boat for her youngest child, Thomas.

She said, "A new boat can cost up to £5,000, but Thomas competes and trains in the Thames all the time, so I'm happy to support him. I'll have to treat my other two children, Sam and Natasha, as well.

"I was lost for words when I found out how much I'd won. I lost my father three weeks ago, so I'm sure he had a hand in it somewhere. He used to love a flutter on horses and dogs, so he'd be happy to know I'd won the lottery."

People's Postcode Lottery's Street Prize presenter Danyl Johnson, who delivered the cheques to the Windsor winners, said, "What a win for Windsor! It is always a privilege to meet the players and present them with such amazing sums of money. The reaction from the Victor Road winners was incredible!"

People's Postcode Lottery players have raised over £104.2 Million for good causes across Great Britain and internationally. Projects near Newbury which have received support include Prior's Court, which was awarded £3,528 to purchase sporting equipment for young people with autism. Eight Bells for Mental Health received £1,910 to deliver basic IT skills training to empower service users. Near Windsor, the organisation Green Corridor, which brings together communities through environmental projects, has received £9,955 in funding. They used the money to transform a neglected site in Southall into a community garden.
