A postcode in Balmacara has proved to be very lucky for three people this weekend after IV40 8DH was announced as the winner of Saturday's Street Prize.
Two players picked up cheques for an incredible £30,000 each, while the third doubled their prize to an astonishing £60,000, thanks to playing with two tickets.
Radiographer Helen was the lucky £60,000 winner and got the surprise of her life when she saw her cheque. She said, "This is just amazing – I'm in shock! It's my sister Jen's birthday this weekend and I've booked a trip to Venice for us both - now we have two reasons to celebrate! I signed up to play after my friend won the £1,000 Daily Prize and it's been the best decision ever!"
Helen already has a few plans on how she'll spend her windfall and said, "I work at the hospital in Skye and I've wanted to buy a house there for a while, so it's going to be fantastic to finally be able to do that."
Retired Heather was completely thrilled with her £30,000 prize and said, "Things like this just don't happen to me – it feels like I'm in a dream because I never win anything! I'm going to book a holiday to Italy for my husband Ian and our two sons. I've not been abroad before and we've never really had a family holiday so it'll be a really special trip."
Equally as delighted was Tina, who was joined by husband Duncan when she received her cheque. She said, "Oh my goodness – what a nice surprise! It's just brilliant to win with my neighbours and be able to share this moment with them."
Offering his congratulations, Street Prize Presenter Danyl Johnson said, "I've had an amazing time in beautiful Balmacara surprising our lovely winners! If you would like to see me standing outside your door with a big golden envelope then make sure you're playing with your postcode."
32% of the ticket price goes to charities. To date, players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised £310 Million for over 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally. This Street Prize was part of a draw promoted by charity PDSA.
New Start Highland is just one of the many nearby charities that players have helped to support. The group received £19,000 last year to deliver university-accredited job skills courses to people facing isolation and social exclusion.

Balmacara wasn't the only area celebrating a win this weekend. Another lucky postcode won Sunday's Street Prize.
