A mother from Liverpool is celebrating after scooping £60,000 with People's Postcode Lottery.
Julie Symons won the Street Prize today when her postcode L19 1RE was drawn as a winner. Each winning ticket is worth £30,000 and Julie doubled her cash by playing with two tickets.
The retail manager said, "I'm flabbergasted with this win and it'll make a big difference to our lives.
"My partner and I have got a two-year-old and we live in a small house, so this will massively help us to move. We had been planning to wait until the middle of the year, but now we can move straight away.
"After seeing the cheque for £60,000, I'm so glad I signed up to play with two tickets."
There was one other resident on Calthorpe Street who landed £30,000. The winner was unavailable to receive their cheque, but their winnings will be transferred directly into their bank account.
Street Prize Presenter Matt Johnson said, "What a lovely time I've had in Liverpool surprising Julie with her incredible prize. I could see genuine happiness in her eyes, which makes me feel so lucky to be a part of this wonderful organisation. Sign up to play with your postcode now and I could be surprising you very soon."
More than £168 Million to date has been raised by players of People's Postcode Lottery for over 2,800 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.
A project near our Liverpool winners that has received support from players is Book at Bedtime, which was awarded more than £1,738 last year to supply children's books to women's refuges in the local area.
It was a great weekend for other lucky winners as the other £30,000 Street Prize was in Gainsborough and the first £3 Million Postcode Millions of the year landed in Loanhead.
