Bridgend Wins Big
Players in Bridgend win big in March's £2 Million Postcode Millions
March 19th, 2015
It's a Postcode Millions windfall for one lucky set of winners today with the announcement that players in Bridgend will share a whopping prize pot of £2 Million.
This month, the winning Postcode Millions sector has been revealed to be CF31 2. Players with tickets in that winning postcode sector are set to share an amazing £2 Million. Local residents will discover just how much they have won at a celebration on Saturday 28th March at The Vale Resort in Hensol Park.
Those playing with the full winning postcode, to be revealed at the event, will walk away with the lion's share of the £2 Million prize.
Former British Lion and Wales rugby captain and People's Postcode Lottery ambassador, Scott Quinnell, said, "Wales must be the luckiest place in Great Britain this year as the team are returning to Wales for the second Welsh Postcode Millions event of 2015 to give out lots of fantastic cheques. Congratulations to all of the lucky winners and good luck!"
It's not just winners who benefit from playing People's Postcode Lottery. To date, players have raised over £63.6 Million for good causes, including National Museum Wales, National Trust, The Prince of Wales's Charitable Foundation and Wildlife Trusts Wales.
One local organisation that received funding from People's Postcode Trust, a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People's Postcode Lottery, is Mental Health Matters Wales. The charity received £5,000 from players for their Self-Regeneration project. Mental Health Matters Wales works with people who have a mental health related issue and promotes mental well-being to ensure there is a comprehensive range of mental health services in Wales. Funding enabled the charity to hold a range of workshops for their service users to provide the opportunity for people to discuss issues, feelings and thoughts, to share ideas and express themselves.
More details on the Postcode Millions cheque presentation will be released in the coming days online and in the press.Return to news archive
