People's Postcode Lottery players will be increasing their support to good causes, as it's been announced that 31% from every ticket will now go to charity – an increase of 1%.

The change will see approximately £1.7 Million in additional funding being distributed to charities and good causes, based in Great Britain and internationally.

Clara Govier, Head of Charities at People's Postcode Lottery, said, "Our players tell us regularly that they sign up because People's Postcode Lottery is a fun way to support good causes.

" As People's Postcode Lottery continues to grow, then our cost base can constantly be re-evaluated, meaning that even more money can go to the charities players support. With 31% being awarded from every ticket to good causes, more charities than ever before will receive funding."

This news comes as People's Postcode Lottery has announced that over 3,000 good causes have received support from the players, totalling more than £221 Million of charity funding to date.
