Street Prize
Big News For Brampton
A bakery assistant in Brampton has been celebrating scooping up extra dough thanks to a cash win with People's Postcode Lottery!
Tracey and two of her neighbours netted £30,000 each, whilst another doubled the prize to £60,000 thanks to playing with two tickets. Their postcode, PE28 4UH, was in luck as it was drawn as Saturday's Street Prize winner.
Tracey was joined by her husband, Terry, when she discovered she'd won the prize. Tracey said, "I'm feeling excited and overwhelmed all at the same time. I signed up to play after seeing an advert on television and it's turned out to be the best decision I've made!"
The windfall will allow Tracey and Terry to go on the trip of a lifetime. She said, "We've always wanted to go on a cruise to the Southern Caribbean and now it’s going to be possible. It would be really nice to change the car and get a new bathroom as well. I'm sure our two children, Ryan and Demi, will also have a few more ideas on how they can help me spend it."
People's Postcode Lottery Presenter Matt Johnson handed over the big cheque. He said, "What a pleasure it's been to hand deliver Tracey's prize to her. I couldn't be more pleased for her and our other players in Brampton and I hope they all treat themselves to something special with the cash."
It's not only players who benefit from People's Postcode Lottery, as 32% of the ticket price goes to charities and good causes. To date, our players have raised over £350 Million for deserving projects. This Street Prize was part of a draw promoted by charity Cats Protection.
Home-Start Norfolk is one good cause close to our winners that has received support. The group was awarded £19,823 last year to run a project to improve the lives of vulnerable families.
