Street Prize

Big Haul For Barrow Hill

18 November 2017 - S43 2NJ - Barrow Hill - £30,000

A whopping £30,000 prize has been won by a woman from Traffic Terrace in Barrow Hill, thanks to her winning postcode!

Suzanne's postcode, S43 2NJ, was drawn as the winner of the People's Postcode Lottery Saturday Street Prize.

Suzanne learned the amazing news when she was visited at home by Street Prize Presenter Judie McCourt.

Suzanne told us how incredible it feels to win. She said, "It's absolutely unbelievable. My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw the cheque that Judie gave me. I didn't expect that amount.

"Afterwards, I sat down with my husband William with a cup of tea to talk about what we might do with the money. Without a doubt, we'll be getting a new kitchen because I've been waiting seven years to do it up. We'd really like a new car as well."

Congratulating Suzanne, Judie added, "If we come to your postcode to deliver good news to winners, make sure you're playing just like Suzanne! Sign up and hopefully one of us will be knocking on your door very soon with news of a fantastic cash prize."

To date, more than £246 Million has been raised by players of People's Postcode Lottery for over 3,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

A local cause near Barrow Hill that has received support from players is Youth of Barlborough. The charity was awarded £1,150 in 2014 to fund new equipment for its weekly club.

There were also some smiling faces in Melksham this weekend, as four players in SN12 7AW scooped Sunday's Street Prize.
