December's Postcode Millions prize will be shared between lucky players in Blackburn

Christmas has come early for a huge number of Blackburn residents who have won December's Postcode Millions prize.

The winning postcode sector, BB2 4, was revealed in a Facebook Live video this evening. Every lucky resident who plays with a ticket in the sector will bag a share of the £3 Million prize pot.

A massive 1,701 BB2 4 residents have won the cash, and will receive £776 for every ticket that they play with.

One full postcode from within the BB2 4 postcode sector will be announced as the winner on Saturday 21st December - everyone who plays there will receive a larger share of the prize! The full winning postcode will be revealed online at 1.30pm on Saturday.

People's Postcode Lottery Presenters Matt Johnson and Judie McCourt will be in Blackburn on Saturday to visit some of the lucky winners.

Matt revealed the winning postcode sector alongside fellow People's Postcode Lottery Presenter Danyl Johnson during the Facebook Live video.

Matt said, "I can't wait to get to Blackburn to make some people very happy! It's incredible that so many neighbours are sharing in this win together - there's certainly going to be some extra special Christmases in town this year."

It's not the first time Blackburn has won big with People's Postcode Lottery. In 2016, the exact same postcode sector was drawn for the Postcode Millions.

Amazing Charities And Good Causes

With People's Postcode Lottery, 32% of the ticket price goes to charity. Players have raised over £500 Million for good causes so far.

This draw is being held on behalf of Postcode Green Trust which funds charities that are protecting wildlife and promoting conservation.

Local charities win too. One charity in Blackburn that has received support is Opportunity Sports Foundation which was awarded £6,000 to provide young homeless people with vital services to gain housing and employment.
