Millions For Martock
Neighbours in the Somerset village of Martock are getting ready to celebrate after it was revealed on Facebook that TA12 6 is the winning postcode sector in our biggest ever £7.3 Million Postcode Millions.
The full winning postcode will be revealed next week, but 411 players in the village have already been told they've won a minimum of £5,000 each.
The £7.3 Million prize fund will be divided between each of the winners in the postcode sector. Those playing with the full winning postcode will take home the biggest cheques.
Players will find out exactly how much they've won at a special outdoor event on the evening of Friday 1st October at Kingsbury Episcopi Community Centre.
People's Postcode Lottery Presenter Matt Johnson will be on hand to reveal the prizes and present the cheques alongside fellow presenter, Judie McCourt.
Matt said, "I can't wait to meet our players in Martock and tell them how much they've won, and it will be even more special doing it in person! Congratulations to all our players, I'll see you soon!"
Thousands Of Supported Projects
These prizes were part of a draw promoted on behalf of Postcode Earth Trust. Through regular grant funding, this trust supports charities and good causes like Canal & River Trust, Ellen MacArthur Foundation and National Trust who promote the awareness and understanding of the natural, creative and built environment.
Local good causes have also benefited from player support. In Charley's Memory received £19,351 this year to help young people access counselling services.
With 33% of the ticket price going to charity, our players have now raised more than £750 Million for good causes across Great Britain and internationally. People's Postcode Lottery players have funded over 9,000 deserving projects protecting people and the planet.
