Reward For Chelmsford

£3.2 Million in prizes is heading to Chelmsford for this month's Postcode Millions
Our latest Postcode Millions has landed in Chelmsford, and players will share £3.2 Million

Hundreds of Chelmsford residents have been left stunned after we revealed on Facebook (opens in a new tab) that their postcode sector, CM1 7, was the winner of a £3.2 Million prize with People's Postcode Lottery.

Lottery players in the winning postcode area will share the money. They've been told they can expect to win at least £1,000 each.

The full winning postcode will be revealed on Saturday 3rd June at a special event at Riverside Leisure Centre. People playing with this postcode will take home the biggest cheques on the day.

People's Postcode Lottery Presenter Judie McCourt will be at the event on Saturday to deliver the good news in person. She said, "I can't wait to meet hundreds of our winners on Saturday and present them with a prize cheque of their own. The community will be buzzing with excitement right now and I can't wait to celebrate with them."

This isn't the first time that Chelmsford residents have scooped a big prize through People's Postcode Lottery. Read all about the winners of our £30,000 Street Prize in July 2020.

Millions For Good Causes

Today's prize is part of a draw promoted on behalf of Postcode Children Trust (opens in a new tab). Supported by our players, this trust provides grant funding to organisations that inspire and support children and young people to make the most of their lives and opportunities within their communities. Benefiting charities include Young Lives vs Cancer, Magic Breakfast and Whizz-Kidz.

Local good causes have also benefited from player support. Essex Respite & Care Association was awarded £15,000 last year to help adults with acute mental health illnesses to live independently and enjoy a normal life.

With People's Postcode Lottery, 33% of the ticket price goes to charities and good causes. To date, players have raised more than £1.1 Billion for thousands of deserving projects across Great Britain, as well as internationally.
