What A Win For Nottingham

HUNDREDS of people from a string of south Nottinghamshire villages are set to share a £3.2 million People's Postcode Lottery prize this weekend.
Players across five communities in the NG11 0 postcode sector will get a slice of the Postcode Millions pot, winning at least £1,000 each.
Excited locals in Gotham, Barton-in-Fabis, Kingston-on-Soar, Ratcliffe-on-Soar and Thrumpton will find out their exact windfalls at a special event in East Midlands Conference Centre on Saturday 1 March.
And the full winning postcode - where players will take home the biggest cash prizes - will also be revealed at the event.
Postcode Lottery's Matt Johnson, who will reveal their prize amounts, said: "A massive congratulations to everyone with winning tickets in NG11 0!
"I can't wait to see you all on Saturday to reveal your prizes - and celebrate together!"
In the last 12 months, 42 local charities across Nottinghamshire have benefitted from £816,350 in funding thanks to player support.
And one of those charities, Home-Start Nottingham, which helps hundreds of struggling young families every year, received £70,000 last year.
The charity has helped over 5,000 families and 14,000 children since it was set up in 1978, and has seen more than 1,000 volunteers through the doors and into family homes in need of support.
Millions For Good Causes
Today's prize is part of a draw promoted on behalf of Postcode Care Trust. Supported by our players, this trust provides grant funding to organisations that work to improve the health and lives of communities. Benefitting charities include Alzheimer's Society, Breast Cancer Now, Trussell and Young Lives vs Cancer.
With People's Postcode Lottery, a minimum of 30% of each ticket price goes to charities and good causes. To date, players have raised more than £1.4 billion for thousands of deserving projects across Great Britain, as well as internationally.
