One lucky resident of Cardiff will have an extra £25,000 in her bank account this Christmas after her postcode was drawn as a winner!
Kerry Pellatt scooped one of this weekend's Saturday Street Prize today with her postcode CF14 3DA.
Kerry, a civil servant, described her win as "just fab". She said, "I'll never have this amount of money in my bank account again so I want to make the most of it.
"My husband and I bought a house 15 months ago and we'd been saving up to get work done on the inside, but now we can go ahead and pay for it which is amazing.
"We'll also go on holiday and have a really nice Christmas this year."
Street Prize Presenter Judie McCourt said, "Well done to Kerry who was clearly thrilled with her win. All our players in the draw have helped to raise money for over 2,000 good causes around the country and we can’t thank you enough."
Players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £161 Million to date for charities across Great Britain and internationally.
Projects supported near Cardiff include Rhydyfelin Netball Club, which received £2,000 this year from players.
Cardiff has struck it lucky with People's Postcode Lottery before. In October this year, CF10 5FS was the winner of another Saturday Street Prize.
Players from another lucky area, Fareham, were also celebrating a Street Prize win today as PO14 1EA was picked as a winner.
