Five lucky neighbours from Fareham are set to have a fantastic Christmas this year after winning £25,000 each with People's Postcode Lottery.
The Cotswold Walk residents scooped the five-figure sum when their postcode PO14 1EA was drawn as a Saturday Street Prize winner today.
Mum-of-two Sasha Geddei-Nabbei said she is going to treat the kids. "I have a teenage daughter and a seven-year-old son, and we've never been on an aeroplane before so we're going to go somewhere sunny and warm.
"When I realised how much money I'd won I couldn't stop crying and my daughter turned to me and said, 'We are not poor anymore, mum,' which was lovely. I'd been scrimping and saving for Christmas, so this win couldn't have come at a better time."
Lorry driver Martin Ray, and his partner Lorraine Lawton, a care assistant, each won £25,000 and they can't wait to spoil themselves. Lorraine said, "I think we're going to each get a new car and we'd already planned to go on holiday to Greece next year, so we'll have extra money to spend when we're there.
"We've both played People's Postcode Lottery for a few years now and it's so easy to sign up. We don't miss the £10 direct debit each month and now it's just great to be a winner."
Another winner on the street was Patricia Jarman, who wants to spend some of her prize money on home improvements.
The other winner was unavailable to receive their cheque, but their winnings will be transfered directly into their bank account.
People's Postcode Lottery Ambassador Matt Johnson said, "Five wins in Fareham is fantastic - well done to all our lucky players."
Players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £161 Million to date for charities across Great Britain and internationally.
Projects supported near Fareham include Oarsome Chance Foundation, which received £1,066 this year for the Oarsome Chance Coastal Rowing Project.
This isn't the first time that Fareham has scooped a Saturday Street Prize. In July this year, players in PO14 4JQ pocketed big cheques.
There was also good news for Cardiff this weekend, as CF14 3DA scooped the second Saturday Street Prize.
