Perth-Quake!

Players in the PH2 9 postcode area are set to share an enormous £10.2 Million jackpot
Won-Derful: Presenter Danyl teases Scotland's biggest Postcode Lottery prize

HUNDREDS of villagers in a little corner of Perthshire are set to share Scotland's biggest-ever People's Postcode Lottery prize this weekend.

Players across six communities in the PH2 9 postcode area will get a slice of the £10.2 Million jackpot, winning at least £5,000.

Excited locals in Aberargie, Abernethy, Bridge of Earn, Forgandenny, Forteviot and Glenfarg will find out their exact windfalls at an event in Perth's South Inch Park on Saturday 27th of April.

And the full winning postcode - where players will take home the biggest cash prizes - will also be revealed at the fun afternoon ceremony.

Postcode Lottery Presenter Danyl Johnson, who will be at the event and handing out the prizes, said, "We'll be in the heart of Scotland this weekend for a heart-warming celebration with all of our players.

"It's even more special this time because this is Scotland's biggest ever Postcode Lottery prize."

He added, "Players will be picking up their prizes, but they also know it's a win-win situation because local, national and international charities benefit from their contributions. I can't wait!"

A String Of Big Millions Wins

This £10.2 Million pot is the latest in a string of big Millions wins for players in Scotland.

In February 2022, more than 600 neighbours in Wishaw, Lanarkshire, shared £7.9 Million in the ML2 0 postcode area. And six people bagged £368,461 each after ML2 0EN was revealed as the full winning postcode.

Two years earlier, 101 islanders in North Uist and Berneray, in the Outer Hebrides, won a share of £3 Million in one of the most memorable Postcode Millions events ever. It meant that 1 in 10 of the 1,200 population were winners.

Two neighbours scooped a whopping £193,055 each when HS6 5BJ was revealed as the full winning postcode at a special event in Carinish Village Hall, North Uist. The other 99 residents in the wider HS6 5 sector landed prizes ranging from £21,425 to £64,275 depending on the number of tickets they played with.

The unique winning community's story was turned into a Channel 4 documentary - The Scottish Island That Won The Lottery - that was watched by over one million people.

Last year, more than 470 people in Alloa had a pre-Christmas celebration after FK10 3 shared a £3.2 Million prize.

A dozen residents in Fishcross landed the biggest Millions prizes in the full winning postcode of FK10 3GN. One player bagged a whopping £246,152 with two tickets, the other 11 each netted £123,076.

The 467 remaining players in the area received cheques ranging from £3,024 to £9,072, depending on the number of tickets they played with.

Local Charities Win Too

Local good causes close to the winners in Perthshire have benefited from money raised by Postcode Lottery players.

Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA), based at Perth and Aberdeen airports, has so far received more than £1 Million from players of People's Postcode Lottery.

Thousands Of Supported Projects

Today's prize is part of a draw promoted on behalf of Postcode Earth Trust (opens in a new tab). Supported by our players, this trust provides regular grant funding to organisations that work to raise awareness and understanding of the natural, creative and built environment. Benefiting charities include Ellen MacArthur Foundation, National Trust for Scotland and Keep Britain Tidy.

With 33% of the ticket price going to Charities, our players have now raised more than £1.3 Billion for good causes across Great Britain and internationally. People's Postcode Lottery players have funded thousands of deserving projects protecting people and the planet.
