Surprise For Sheffield

Six neighbours on a street in Sheffield are celebrating today after each winning £30,000 with People's Postcode Lottery. The windfall comes after their postcode, S9 4AN, was announced as a winner of today's #30KADAY Street Prize.

Bound For The USA

Among our happy winners was Joseph, who found out how much he'd won during a video call with Street Prize Presenter Judie McCourt. He was joined on the call by his partner Lucy, and as Judie opened their golden envelope to reveal their big £30,000 cheque, the couple exploded into cheering. Lucy exclaimed, "Oh my God! Thank you so much! Wow. That's amazing. We never ever thought we'd win it!" Joseph added, "It's unbelievable."

As the news sank in, the couple said they were hoping to use some of their winnings for holidays in the USA. Joseph, who works as a tram driver, said, "We went to Florida a few years ago and we'd probably love to go back there again. It's the best place we've been." Lucy added, "I'm thinking about a trip to New York. I'd love to go to New York for New Year's, it's always been on my bucket list of things to do!"

Joseph joked that his friends thought he should win as he loves to sing the well-known song from our TV adverts. He said, "I get on everyone's nerves because all I do is sing the theme tune all the time! That's what all my friends said, 'If anyone should get anything, you should because all you do is sing that song all the time!'"

The couple aren't planning to celebrate straight away but said they would try to arrange a small party when they're able. Joseph said, "We'll probably meet with some friends and celebrate with some champagne and get a few drinks." Lucy added, "I think we better get the round in for that one, though!"

Judie McCourt sent her congratulations to all our winners. She said, "I couldn't be happier for Joseph and Lucy, and all our other winners in Sheffield today as well! I'm sure they'll all be over the moon right now and I hope they enjoy treating themselves with their winnings."

Every day throughout our July draws one postcode will be announced as a £30,000 Street Prize winner. Every player in that lucky postcode will win £30,000 for every ticket they play.
