Neighbours Celebrate In Yate

16 April - BS37 5DY - Yate - £25,000

Two players in Yate were delighted to discover they had each won £25,000 with their postcode this week. BS37 5DY was drawn as a winner in the Saturday Street Prize.

Ian Reeves said the win felt amazing and that his family were already drafting their shopping wish lists.

"The whole family is just so excited. My son's already picked out a pair of boots and my daughter's been checking out some hot tubs! My brother Ricky lives in Malta, so now we're going to be able to pay him a visit too.

"My daughter Beth's just turned 18 and is going off to study soon, so the win couldn't have come at a more perfect time to help her out."

Catherine Turner also received a £25,000 cheque from People's Postcode Lottery Ambassador Danyl Johnson. She said she'd be using some of the money to help with university costs.

"I'm a student and my dissertation is due this week, so I've not even really had the time to let it all sink in. The money means I'll be able to pay off a few student debts and buy some driving lessons, so it's absolutely amazing.

"I bought my ticket mainly because of the charity aspect. When I became a student, I had to stop giving so much to a few charities that I already supported, so playing with People's Postcode Lottery was a really great way to give something back. And of course it's such a bonus to actually win!

"I've been telling all my neighbours to join up. I've never won anything like this and I sure didn't think I would – it's just been incredible."

People's Postcode Lottery's Ambassador Danyl Johnson said, "It was a real pleasure to meet Ian and Catherine this week and see those smiles for such a great prize. Both of the winners, along with thousands of other players, are helping to raise millions of pounds for so many charities."

Players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised over £113 Million to date for good causes across Great Britain and internationally. One supported charity near the Yate winners is The Matthew Tree Project in Bristol, which supports the most vulnerable members of our communities. They received over £12,000 in 2014.

Also today, a player in Swindon scoooped a £25,000 Saturday Street Prize.
