Prize Won In Knapton

30 December 2017 - NR28 0RS - Knapton - £30,000

One lucky Knapton resident will bring in the New Year with a bang after bagging £30,000. The big win comes after postcode NR28 0RS was drawn as the winner of Saturday's Street Prize.

Susan was completely surprised by her festive win. She said, "I am absolutely delighted and stunned. I really did not expect to win so much when I pulled the cheque out of the envelope. I'm going to do the house up a bit, which I've really needed to do for a while.

"I signed up to play because so much of the money goes to a wide variety of charities and causes which I really support, and then there's the little excitement of thinking you might get a tenner every now and again – I didn't expect quite this much!"

Street Prize Presenter Jeff Brazier delivered the winning cheque to Susan. Jeff said, "Congratulations to Susan! I think 2018 is going to be a fantastic year for her, and it was a pleasure to surprise her with an incredible £30,000 to kick it off."

More than £255 Million has been raised by players for over 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

A local group that has received support from players is East Anglia Anchorage Trust. The charity was awarded £19,999 this year to providing affordable housing to homeless and vulnerable young people.

There were also happy festive winners elsewhere as players £30,000 per ticket in Sunday's Street Prize, one lucky winner picked up £10,000 in holiday vouchers as well as £4,000 in spending money thanks to the Dream Holiday Prize, and six neighbours won £25,000 cheques with one winner also diving away a brand new BMW.
