Cheques Aloft In Lowestoft

04 March - NR32 4TX - Lowestoft - £30,000

Three Lowestoft residents have been celebrating this weekend after winning £30,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode!

The St. Margaret's Road neighbours, who play with postcode NR32 4TX won the first of this weekend's two Street Prizes.

One of the winners, Coral Smith, was in shock over the win, but had big plans for her prize money. "I've been unwell and off work for a while so the first thing I'm going to do is treat my friends and family who've been so kind to me over this time.

"I'm also going to treat myself to a holiday – I love travelling and often go away by myself which I really like doing, but I have some friends who are heading off to Morocco so I might join them on that trip."

Frances Marks is also planning on going away with her winnings, "I'm definitely going to go on a really, really nice holiday. I'm thinking of America and taking a friend with me."

The third winner was unfortunately not available to be presented with their cheque, but their winnings will be paid directly into their bank account.

Street Prize Presenter Matt Johnson said, "It was fantastic to meet Frances and Coral today and to surprise them with their cheques. I hope they enjoy their winnings – it sounds like they both have some really exciting plans!"

To date, players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £182 Million  for good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

A project near Lowestoft that has received support from players is the Lowestoft Ladies Hockey Club, which was awarded £564 for its Girls Get Into Hockey project.

Lowestoft wasn't the only area in luck this weekend, as players in Skegness scooped £30,000 per ticket in Sunday's Street Prize.
