Three neighbours are celebrating this week after winning big when their postcode, CB9 9NH, was drawn as Sunday's Street Prize winner. Each player in the postcode scooped £30,000 per ticket.
Kerry Meek was one of the lucky winners. "The first thing I'm going to buy myself is a new laptop, which I really need. My partner Bernie wants to landscape the garden, and it's my daughter's 21st birthday coming up, so I'll be able to get her a special present.
"The fact that money from the ticket goes to charity is the main reason I signed up. I've done a lot of fundraising ever since I was in school, so it's something that I care a lot about."
There was one other £30,000 winner and one £60,000 winner who were not available to receive their cheques, but their winnings will be deposited directly into their bank accounts.
Street Prize Presenter Danyl Johnson said, "I had a fantastic day meeting Kerry and surprising her with her cheque. I hope she enjoys spending her winnings – and of course her two neighbours who have also won too."
A minimum of 30% of the ticket price goes to charity. To date, players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised more than £212 Million for over 2,800 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.
A local cause which has received support from players is School of Hard Knocks, which was awarded £93,944 for a project to improve behaviour and attainment in school through sports coaching.
There was also a happy player in Brithdir, as LL40 2SB was drawn as the winner of Saturday's Street Prize.
