Eight neighbours in Willesborough got the surprise of their lives when they discovered their lucky postcode had landed them £30,000 prizes. One player doubled their windfall to £60,000 thanks to playing with two tickets. Their postcode TN24 0UA was announced as a winner of our Sunday Street Prize.
One of our wonderful winners was Louise, who found out how much she'd won during a video call with Street Prize Presenter Jeff Brazier. On seeing her cheque, Louise exclaimed, "Wow! That's brilliant. I feel a bit numb really."
Husband Steve, a pensions manager, was with Louise on the call. Steve said, "We've missed out on a couple of holidays and one of them was supposed to be two weeks with my mum and dad, which is time we won't get back again. So, it's good to know we've still got that money in the pot."
Louise added, "We'll be able to have a nice holiday away together as a family. I also want to get the bathroom redone and we need a new en-suite too. So, we can probably do both now. We'll celebrate with a glass of champagne later on maybe."
Neighbour Graham, a driving instructor, also netted a thrilling £30,000 cheque. He was with his wife Debby and family when he got the good news. He exclaimed, "Thirty grand?! Wicked. That's fantastic!
"It's quite funny because on Saturday just gone, she said to me, 'We're never going to win this, you know, because we haven't even got a doorbell'!
"It means a lot. I'd like to go on a Florida holiday with the family because I like all the theme parks."
After the call Jeff Brazier said, "Brilliant news for some of our lucky players in Willesborough. It was great to hear how Louise and Graham plan on spending their winnings, with a little help from the families of course. A massive congratulations to all of our other lucky £30,000 winners in TN24 0UA."
