Wealthy In Whittlesford
06 June 2015 - CB22 4LU - Whittlesford - £25,000
A delighted Whittlesford player is on top of the world after winning £75,000 in this week's Saturday Street Prize. His postcode, CB22 4LU, was drawn as the lucky winner.
Graham Seve, who plays with three tickets, was at home when he was surprised by People's Postcode Lottery presenter Judie McCourt. "It was so exciting seeing People's Postcode Lottery on my doorstep," he said. "I felt like a celebrity."
Graham, 70, is still in shock after winning £75,000, as he has only been playing the charity lottery for nine months. "I decided to sign up last year after seeing the advert on television," he said. "I feel like I may as well be a millionaire right now," laughed Graham.
While he is still letting his win settle in, Graham has a few ideas up his sleeve of what he wants to spend his winnings on. "I moved to South Hampton with my parents after World War II ended, where we lived for 47 years," said Graham. "I would like to use the money to buy a flat in South Hampton so I can live there again, 20 years after I moved away," he said.
Graham, who was a cadet in the Merchant Navy until he was 20 years old, said, "I am very lucky, as I got to travel the world when I was in the Navy." He continued, "I would like to use some of the money to go on a nice, warm holiday at the end of the year."
It's not just players that win with People's Postcode Lottery. Players have raised over £72.2 Million for charities and good causes across Great Britain and internationally.
