Nine elated neighbours in Bingley have won Saturday's Street Prize, all thanks to their lucky postcode BD16 4RJ.
Eight neighbours have won £30,000 each, with the ninth taking away £90,000 thanks to playing with three tickets.
One of our winners, Rebecka, was delighted with her £30,000 prize. She said, "I've got two kids who are seven and five, and both have additional needs, so this is going to be such a big help to us – it means so much. I would love to take them on a family holiday, and I might treat myself to some shopping too.
"I volunteer for Home-Start and used to work for Barnardo's, so I know what a massive difference the money raised by playing the Postcode Lottery makes to charities too."
Ethel was joined by her partner Bernard when the People's Postcode Lottery team visited her. She said, "I just started playing this year and thought it would be worth a shot. I was so excited when I heard from the team – it is marvellous. Bernard and I were planning on going to America last year but unfortunately had to cancel, so this will mean we can now re-book. We have a brand new great-grandson over there so I want to go and visit as soon as possible."
Another lucky winner, Andrew, was also delighted. He said, "This is definitely going to help me live comfortably having stopped working. I have been to South Africa a couple of times and would love to go back so that's definitely on the cards, and I've got two children so I'll be able to help them both out a bit too. My son is in Bali at the moment but my daughter lives nearby so I'll be celebrating with her this evening."
Our other £30,000 winners included Denis, Chris and Donald. Street Prize Presenters Matt Johnson and Judie McCourt were on hand to deliver to our winners their amazing cheques. Matt said, "Nine winners on one street – amazing! The money clearly meant so much to the winners, so it was my absolute pleasure to present them with their cheques. I hope they all enjoy spending it."
With 32% of the ticket price going to charity, players of People's Postcode Lottery have now raised more than £350 Million for over 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally. This Street Prize was part of a draw promoted by charity Barnardo's.
A number of good causes close to our winners have benefited from our players, including Down Syndrome Training and Support Service. The group received £10,937 to run a six-week behaviour management course, helping parents to reduce stress in families.
Bingley wasn't the only area in luck this weekend, one winner picked up a £30,000 cheque elsewhere in Sunday's Street Prize.
