Street Prize For Swindon

It's a wonderful weekend in Swindon. A trio of winners picked up whopping £30,000 Street Prizes after their postcode, SN3 3HA, got lucky. There's nothing like a life-changing cheque to supercharge your Saturday.

Let's Doughnuts

First to receive one of our golden envelopes from Street Prize Presenter Danyl Johnson was Margaret, who is the head of activities at a local care home.

Describing her win as "life-changing", she plans to put the money to good use by helping her to buy a flat. She said, "I've been in a caravan since May, and this will help me get into my own place."

When we asked what else she might spend her prize money on, she added, "I'm going to go away this weekend to a spa with three of my friends."

However, Margaret had a more pressing situation to deal with. She explained, "I've been told to bring doughnuts back to work. They said, don't come back without the doughnuts!"

Amalfi Glad

Another winner was Steven, who also picked up a £30,000 cheque. He plans to spend his money on a holiday. Steven said, "I like Italy and the Amalfi coast, I was thinking somewhere like that."

He also hinted at helping his family out and said, "My daughter's car has just broken down so I'm sure that might be a thing."

Danyl Johnson shared his congratulations. He said, "It's fantastic news for our three winners in Swindon. I hope Margaret enjoys celebrating with the doughnuts and all our lucky winners are able to treat themselves with the money."

Today's prize is part of a draw promoted by Postcode International Trust (opens in a new tab), which provides regular grant funding to organisations that work to alleviate poverty, hunger and enable food security. Supported charities include Action Against Hunger, ActionAid and British Red Cross.
