Celebrations in Nottingham

12 February 2021 - NG6 8BU - Nottingham - £30,000
Six lucky winners in Nottingham have each scooped a share of a wonderful windfall

Six Nottingham locals will be celebrating this weekend after their postcode got lucky. The windfall came after NG6 8BU was announced as the winner of today's #30KADAY Street Prize. Every day throughout our February draws, players in lucky postcodes will win £30,000 for every ticket they hold.

Four of our Nottingham winners took home £30,000 each, while two neighbours pocketed an incredible £90,000 each, thanks to playing with three tickets.

Speechless

£90,000 winner Dave learned of his prize win while taking a break from work, during a video call with Street Prize Presenter Matt Johnson.

As the cheque with his winnings was revealed, Dave took a deep breath and said, "God, great! Absolutely great."

When asked how he was feeling, the construction site worker took a moment and then added, "Speechless is the word. I've never really won anything. I'm shellshocked."

As the news sank in, Dave had a few ideas on how he could spend his winnings. He said, "Probably a new car. A long overdue new car. Definitely a holiday, I've got a brother who lives over in Mexico so I'll be going over to see him again. I'll probably buy something for my mother, a nice gift!"

His immediate plans are a little more relaxed. Dave said, "I normally work weekends, but I might take this weekend off!"

Fantastic Surprise

Another delighted winner was Gail, who won £30,000. As her winnings were revealed she said, "Thank you. That'll do a lot for me."

Gail, who has lived at the postcode for over 18 years, was quick to plan celebrations and added, "A glass of wine will be on the cards tonight!"

Gail is looking forward to sharing her good fortune with her family. She said, "I've got a son, a daughter and two grandchildren. My son has recently put a bid in for a new van and my daughter is getting married next year so I'm sure there will be something going towards that."

Gail is also planning to use her winnings for an important trip. She said, "My father passed away three months ago and he was Scottish. We all wanted to go up to Scotland and spread his ashes, so this will help with that."

While Gail did have an idea on how to treat herself, her win will also help support a great cause. She said, "An embroidery machine! I do a lot sewing for a charity that provides stuff to hospitals for premature babies, so I'd like to buy an embroidery machine to do a bit more of that really!"

Matt Johnson sent his well wishes to the winners. He said, "What a fantastic surprise for our winners in Nottingham today, congratulations to them all! It was lovely speaking to Gail and Dave. It was so nice to bring this news to such wonderful people and I hope they enjoy their winnings."
