Big Bucks In Bedford

In the latest daily win in September's #30KADAY extravaganza, a lucky Bedford couple are celebrating. Our happy duo are looking forward to their dream family holiday after scooping an incredible £60,000.  

Our Phillpotts Avenue players picked up the prize money after MK40 3UD was announced as our latest Street Prize winning postcode.

Steven has played People's Postcode Lottery since 2017. He encouraged his wife Louise to sign up and play too in October last year after a string of £10 and £15 prize wins.

This month marks the first time the couple have won big. When they discovered they had picked up a thrilling £30,000 cheque each, they immediately knew what they wanted to splash out on: a dream Disney holiday for the whole family.  

Fun In Florida

Louise, a special educational needs co-ordinator, said, "My husband has been playing for a couple of years and kept winning here and there, so I thought I'd sign-up. Knowing a big chunk of the money goes to charity was also very appealing."  

“But finding out we had both won £30,000 was a massive shock. It's not the sort of thing that happens every day but is absolutely fantastic. It means we can take our two young children away to Florida next year and enjoy our dream holiday as a family. We've been discussing it for a while now and saving-up, so now being able to now book it and get excited is amazing. We also hope to use the prize money to tidy up a few home improvements including finishing our extension and getting a new driveway.  

"I'm definitely going to keep playing and I've actually got a few friends and family members looking to join now they realise how easy it is and that real people like us do win!"

Street Prize Presenter Jeff Brazier dropped into Bedford to deliver the good news and golden envelopes to Louise and Steven. Jeff said, "It was lovely meeting Louise and Steven and to hear that they can now take their two little ones away to Disney next year. It's always exciting meeting winners, even more so when there's two in one house. I can't wait to hear how the whole family gets on in the US, and hope they have fun celebrating together this week!"
