Great News In Gateshead

It's a great day in Gateshead as neighbours in a lucky street each won a five-figure sum thanks to their postcode. The fabulous four netted their cheques when NE8 1XT was drawn as the winner of Sunday's Street Prize.

One resident, Susan, doubled her money to £60,000 as she was playing with two tickets.

Shaking Like A Leaf

Mum-of-four Susan was our lucky £60,000 winner. On seeing how much she'd won after Street Prize Presenter Judie McCourt revealed her cheque, she exclaimed, "I'm shaking like a leaf!

"My heart is in my mouth to tell you the truth. It's a very funny feeling.

"I've got four kids, so they'll get so much, and I want to do the house out. I want a new three-piece suite and my daughter needs a new bed."

Judie McCourt shared her congratulations. She said, "A big well done to our lucky winners in Gateshead. I hope they're all as thrilled as Susan and they've got something special in mind to treat themselves to with the cash."

Charities Win Too

Today's prize is part of a draw promoted on behalf of Postcode Education Trust (opens in a new tab).
