Street Prize
A Big Hurrah For Leamington Spa
A player from Leamington Spa was ecstatic to find out she had won £25,000 today.
Christine Guice, from Wych Elm Drive, scooped one of the weekend's Saturday Street Prizes after her postcode CV31 3QR was drawn as a winner.
Christine, a business owner, said she couldn't believe she had won. "Winning means we'll be able to go on a cruise, which is wonderful. We'll also be able to do some work on the house, so the win has come at a brilliant time.
"I signed up because I just thought no matter what happens, someone was a winner – if it wasn't me then it would be the charities that players like me support."
Street Prize Presenter Danyl Johnson said, "It was brilliant to meet Christine and reveal such an amazing prize! Congratulations to her, and thank you so much for supporting so many amazing charities by playing."
Over £142 Million has been raised to date by players for over 2,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally.
A project that players have supported near Leamington Spa is the Boxing Clever Academy that received £1,450 this year.
A Thurcaston player was also celebrating this weekend as his postcode LE7 7JP scooped the other Saturday Street Prize.
