Car Prize
Feel-Good Factor In Farnborough
Three residents of Farnborough are feeling good today after their postcode was drawn as a winner, earning them big cash prizes. One player also received the keys to a brand new BMW!
GU14 8LW was one of this weekend's five big-winning postcodes, with every winning ticket in Cromwell Way worth £5,000.
Two Farnborough winners doubled their cash to £10,000 by playing with two tickets. One of them was Corrina Owen, a 70-year-old auxiliary nurse who works at a local hospice. She said, "It feels lovely to win £10,000. I never win anything, so maybe my luck's changed!
"I rent my home at the moment, but I'd like to own my own place so this will be a good deposit. I've also been to Las Vegas three times, but I'd love to go back again."
One of Farnborough's other winners, Linda Cole, who scooped £5,000, says she's shocked and happy with her win.
"I haven't got a clue what I'll do with the money yet," she said. "I only signed up a month ago, so this is just fantastic.
"I'm on the waiting list for a hip operation, so I'll probably wait until that's done before I spend any of the money. This will make a huge difference to me."
Another player in Farnborough also scooped a £10,000 prize, as well as a brand new BMW 1 Series.
Players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised over £113 Million to date for good causes across Great Britain and internationally. A locally-supported good cause is Hospice Services at Home TLC, which received £16,331 this year to develop volunteer support in and around Alton.
Crook's players weren't the only prize-winners today. Blackburn scooped £3 Million in the April Postcode Millions, Saturday Street Prizes landed in Killingworth and Southsea, and we gave away £5,000 Dream Holidays in Crook.
