Bravo For Brentford

Sunday is a superb day for five players in Brentford, as their postcode, TW8 9LE, got lucky and they won an amazing £30,000 each in Sunday's Street Prize.

The cheque couldn't have come at a better time for winner Helen, who is five months pregnant and was unfortunately made redundant on Monday. She said, "This week has been an emotional rollercoaster and started off horribly after I lost my job but now it's ending on a high. I just can't believe it, I'm completely thrilled!

"I'll be celebrating with my husband Steve and our ten-year-old daughter who will definitely be getting spoilt now before the baby arrives!"

Our second winner Jamel, who has just returned to Brentford after spending five years living in Australia and New Zealand, couldn't believe his luck when he discovered how much he'd won - in his very first month playing People's Postcode Lottery! He said, "This is so fantastic and a total bolt from the blue! I signed up to play because I knew that I'd be helping so many good causes even if I didn't win anything, so to get £30,000 so soon after joining is amazing!"

Jamel plans to put his prize money to good use on house renovations and purchasing a new motorbike, as well as treating girlfriend Caroline to a slap-up meal to celebrate. 

Street Prize Presenter Matt Johnson handed the winners their cheques, and said, "It's been my absolute pleasure to present our winners in Brentford with their prizes today – well done everyone!"

32% of the ticket price goes to good causes. To date, players have raised over £320 Million for more than 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally. This Street Prize was part of a draw promoted by charity PDSA.

Integrated Neurological Services is just one of many charities close to our winners that players have helped to support. The group received £15,000 last year to provide a specialist gym and physical therapist for people suffering from neurological health conditions, such as Parkinson's disease and multiple sclerosis.
