Street Prize
Hooray For Havant
A lucky resident of Langrish Close in Havant was delighted to discover her postcode PO9 5JJ had won her £25,000 in one of the Saturday Street Prizes today.
Maureen Honey said she was on cloud nine after the win. "I honestly never thought a big win would happen for me. I've actually won before, twice, but both those times was for £10 so this one's a bit of a bonus!
"My husband Rodger and I haven't decided quite yet what we'll do with the money but we'll definitely be treating the family.
"A major factor for me in choosing to sign up was all the good causes that players support. It means while I'm playing I'm also helping to raise money for charity which is just fantastic."
Street Prize Presenter Jeff Brazier met Maureen to deliver her golden envelope. "It was an absolute pleasure to meet Maureen and Rodger and present them with a £25,000 cheque and even more amazing to see how delighted they were – congratulations!"
Over £129 Million has been raised to date by players of People's Postcode Lottery for good causes across Great Britain and internationally.
A charity close to this week's winner is Squirrels Day Care and Preschool who were awarded £1,000 to build permanent outside fencing.
Also this weekend, five players in Huntly scooped a Saturday Street Prize win, one lucky Swansea player won £10,000 and a BMW, our incredible Dream Holiday prize was won in Middleton and the June Postcode Millions landed in Torquay.
