Terrific Win In Turriff

One player in Turriff will be delighted this week after winning £25,000 when their postcode, AB53 5PL, was drawn as a winner in the Saturday Street Prize.

The winner was unavailable when the team from People's Postcode Lottery arrived to present the cheque, but the winnings will go straight into the player's bank account and will help them kick off the new year in style.

People's Postcode Lottery Street Prize presenter Judie McCourt said, "This is the first Street Prize of 2015. I hope the winner had a fantastic New Year and enjoys spending the cash."

Players have raised over £56.1 Million for charities and good causes across Great Britain and internationally. One local project is the MacDuff Old Folks Association, which was awarded £5,000 by players to create a car park facility located at the rear of the Hall. The car park helps the elderly, youngsters and disabled disembark safely and reach the Hall easily without facing the hazards of the A98 road. As a result, more people are now able to enjoy the services offered at the Hall.
