Street Prize
Cheques Ahoy At Canvey Island
There's fantastic news for neighbours in Lavender Mews in Canvey Island this weekend. Essex postcode SS8 0HS was drawn as the winner of our Sunday Street Prize. Two lucky players each pick up a cheque for an astonishing £30,000.
Street Prize Presenter Jeff Brazier sent his congratulations to our latest lucky players, "Well done to our winners in Canvey Island – I always love to see neighbours share the joy of winning together. Make sure that you're signed up to play and it could be your door I’m knocking on."
With 32% of the ticket price going to charity, players of People's Postcode Lottery have now raised more than £301 Million for good causes. That amazing funding supports over 4,000 deserving projects across Great Britain and around the world. Today's £30,000 Street Prize was part of a draw promoted by The Wildlife Trusts.
Southend United Community and Educational Trust is a charity near our winners which has benefited from that player support. The group was awarded £19,955 last year to improve the health and wellbeing of local young people with disabilities by providing weekly sports activities.
