Prizes For Port Glasgow
A trio of neighbours in Port Glasgow are celebrating today thanks to the luck of their postcode. Each of our winners won a £30,000 prize after their postcode, PA14 6AZ, was drawn in our Sunday Street Prize.
Wee Bit Extra Comfort
Ryan was one of our lucky winners, and he was with his wife Arlene when Street Prize Presenter Danyl Johnson revealed his cheque. Ryan said, "It'll give us a wee bit extra comfort rather than saving and putting money away for things. We can now go and do the things we need to do." Arlene laughed and added, "We can get a new bathroom."
Ryan and Arlene want to use some of their winnings to go on holiday with their children. Ryan said, "We can take them on a wee holiday once everything calms down a bit, so we can go abroad and spoil them."
Danyl Johnson said, "Congratulations to all of our winners, I'm sure they'll be celebrating this weekend and maybe into next week."
This prize was part of a draw promoted on behalf of Postcode Justice Trust, which supports organisations working to improve lives by delivering justice, human rights and equality. Supported charities include Global Witness, the Helen Bamber Foundation and the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
Lucky winners aren't the only ones who benefit from People's Postcode Lottery. With 33% of the ticket price going to charities and good causes, our amazing players have raised more than £750 Million for over 9,000 deserving causes to date.
